Eden Life Diary: Week 2

Second week of this and I already regret agreeing to write these every week. I’m also tired of eating plantain because at this rate, it might start growing on my head.

Monday

Sweet Chili Prawn Salad

Nothing in me wanted to eat a salad for lunch on Monday. It felt like a great idea when I ordered it, but on Monday…instant regret. Anyway, I decided to make a sandwich out of it. I had some leftover baguette from the weekend so I stuffed the prawn and lettuce in it.

Problem solved.

They recommend you eat this quickly and don’t keep it in fridge for too long, which makes sense because the sweet chili can go off real quick.

Tuesday

Grilled Peppered Ram with Yam & Bean Porridge and Fried Plantain

You thought I was free from plantain? LMAO jokes.

Don’t ask me why I got beans either. It was a craving, please. The beans might have needed salt or something because it was a little bland. The ram, on the other hand, was excellent. I’ve been avoiding ram on Eden for a while because I expected tough sallah ram but the calorie shaming pushed me to it this week and it was absolutely worth it.

Wednesday

Chicken shawarma with Irish potato

I had to air fry this, but the shawarma should be eaten fresh. This is not on Eden, but it’s more of a shawarma thing. The potato was super crispy after the air fryer. Definitely recommend.

Thursday

Turkey with Jollof basmati

Would you look at that?

Plantain, again.

I’m joking, this one actually works. The Jollof was like party Jollof so yeah, I co-sign it.

Friday

Grilled pepper tilapia With chicken and egg fried rice and plain moin moin

You see any moin-moin in the picture? Yeah, I thought so.

I mean, I didn’t want it but why promise me and not have it.

As for the food itself, this was super boring. The fried rice lacked life.
