Cut Steakhouse is a grill restaurant very well-known for its good, hearty steaks, as well as a great selection of wine. They have a very elegant setting with cuisine that’s mostly “continental”, but with a sprinkle of Naija-ness, so you remember where you are.

This space is very chic and if fine dining is what you’re after, Cut Steakhouse is the place.

Wakame (The Marriott Hotel)

Located on the first floor of the Marriott Hotel in Ikeja, Wakame is one of the most widely spoken-about hotel restaurants in Lagos right now. This is especially impressive, considering The Marriott opened up only a year ago.

The menu is inspired by Thai, Japanese, Chinese and North Indian street food, served in a cool and casual environment. They also have a semi-open kitchen that allows you to watch their talented chefs in action.

Seabass (The Blowfish Hotel)

17 Oju Olobun Close, Victoria Island

The Blowfish hotel has four restaurants: Izanagi, Wok, Vertigo and La Veranda, but the best of them all is Seabass. It’s a water-themed restaurant that gives off major ocean-y vibes, with very decent Mediterranean seafood cuisine to accompany it.

They are best known for their Sunday all-you-can-eat-buffet, which goes for N10000 per person.

Oceans 5 by Riviera (Riviera Hotels & Suites)

20 Elsie Femi Pearse Street, Victoria Island

Oceans 5 is another (mostly) seafood-themed restaurant. It’s a bougie, fine dining restaurant where — P.S. — you *never* want to be caught unfresh. They have great multi-course meals, served in a sophisticated environment and their menu includes Mediterranean, Continental and Asian meals, with quite a nice selection of wine.

The Riviera has two other restaurants: H20 and Aqua Wok, FYI.

Sky Restaurant (Eko Hotels)

Plot 1415 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island

Eko Hotels has a selection of places to eat; one of their best, however, is the Sky Restaurant. Found at the penthouse, with a view of both the Island and the Atlantic Ocean, the ambience there is lovely. Between that and the full bar, it’s an ideal spot for a first date or a celebration.

They serve up a fusion of international/Asian/seafood cuisine, and bonus points, they have gluten-free and vegetarian options too.
