#EatDrinkFestival

EatDrinkFestival is a leading food and drink festival organized in Lagos, Nigeria by EatDrinkLagos since 2015. The festival brings together thousands of food lovers to celebrate food and drink from top chefs, restaurants, and street vendors in Lagos. After taking 2020 off due to the pandemic, the festival returned in 2021 showcasing bites and sips from up-and-coming local vendors along with pop-ups from celebrity chefs. Over its 9 year history, the festival has grown from humble beginnings in Ikoyi to now holding events in both Lagos and Abuja, welcoming over 100,000 guests. EatDrinkFestival has become a beloved December event and celebration of Nigeria's vibrant food and drink culture.

Vendor curation

Over its nine-year existence, EatDrinkFestival has proven to be an impactful platform for local culinary entrepreneurs to expand their reach and meet new audiences. The festival aims to promote creative and adventurous food vendors. Participating businesses gain pre-event promotion and valuable exposure that leads to year-round benefits beyond just direct sales at the event. The festival review committee evaluates applicants based on performance, uniqueness of offering, and pricing. EatDrinkFestival seeks vendors who can quickly prepare unique menus and operate self-sufficiently. The festival has created a fertile environment for local food businesses to grow over its five-year history by serving as an effective marketing tool that generates goodwill and positively impacts participating vendors.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes, as you'll be on your feet and eating a lot! Add a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for the sun. Pack light - leave unnecessary items at home. You won't be able to bring in outside food or storage containers, so plan accordingly.

  • Review the festival map ahead of time and plan which vendors you want to visit first. Go with a group and split up to get food then meet back together to share. Pace yourself over the two days to avoid food coma. Buy tickets early online to avoid long lines at the gate.

  • Prohibited items include: drugs/paraphernalia, outside food/drink, weapons, drones, unauthorized recordings, tents, chairs, bikes, skates, air horns, and more.

  • Children are welcome but cannot be left unsupervised - no dropping off children and leaving them at the festival.

  • The festival goes on rain or shine. There are no refunds or exchanges if it rains, so come prepared for the weather.
